Thanks for making your way here to my blog! I was born and raised in Virginia but was transplanted to eastern Tennessee in July 2018. My goal of creating this blog is to share my experiences hiking in Great Smoky Mountains National Park (and wherever else I make it) to give others ideas for hiking and backpacking routes, as well as area information. I also sincerely welcome any trail or gear recommendations, and corrective criticism.
So far, my favorite hikes have been Rock Castle Gorge in Floyd County, VA and the whole "Triple Crown of Virginia" (Dragon's Tooth, McAfee Knob, and Tinker Cliffs on the Appalachian Trail). Some places I'm looking forward to hiking include Chimney Tops, Charlie's Bunyon, and Clingman's Dome in GSMNP; and Mt Roger's and Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia.
